Docter Optics is a leading global manufacturer and developer of customized optical components as well as optomechanical and optoelectronic systems, particularly for automotive projection headlights, and an internationally sought-after OEM partner.

The company produces along the entire value chain: optical design, construction, prototyping, testing, qualification, tool and mold making, industrial manufacturing. It has developed several patented processes for the large-scale industrial production of multifunctional free-form components. Its headquarters are in Neustadt an der Orla, about 30 kilometers southeast of Jena.
