Glatt Ingenieurtechnik has many years of experience, for example, in drying and spray granulation of liquids containing solids, in instantization by spray agglomeration of powders, or in micro- and matrix encapsulation of active ingredients and sensitive and volatile substances. The additives they produce, such as flavors, enzymes, probiotics, essential oils or stabilizers, are used in food and pet food or in detergents, crop protection products or industrial salts. 

The company has developed a sustainable technology with PHOS4green: Phosphorus can be recovered from sewage sludge ashes and converted into ready-to-use standard and specialty fertilizers without generating waste. Glatt ProAPP reactors are used to produce high-performance powders for future-oriented battery materials, paints and coating pigments, specialty ceramics, catalysts and many other areas of chemistry and fine chemistry. They also develop and optimize processes for the production of pharmaceutical and biotechnological products such as tablets, injection and infusion solutions, vaccines, blood plasma products, biosimilars and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).

Glatt Ingenieurtechnik GmbH is headquartered in Weimar, Germany. Other affiliated companies are located in Wiesbaden, Cologne, Dresden, Moscow and New Delhi. The company is integrated into the international Glatt group of companies (headquartered in Binzen, Baden-Württemberg) and thus has a global network of around 3000 employees in 15 subsidiaries. The Glatt Process Technology Food, Feed & Fine Chemicals and Glatt Process & Plant Engineering competence areas are established at the site, and there is also a dedicated Technology Center on site.
