The company focuses on track superstructure, tunneling and industrial applications.

SEALABLE's history began more than 200 years ago with the production of fire hoses. Combined with product diversification, expertise in elastomer profiles and know-how in processing various types of rubber grew over the last 50 years.

Time and again, SEALABLE stands out with new products. The result: over 40 registered patents and winning the Thuringian Innovation Award 2018 in the category "Tradition & Future" for the product "Bicycle Safe Track". This allows the rut of the streetcar track to be closed - especially at crossings - and thus prevents cyclists or wheelchair users from getting stuck in the track.

But SEALABLE also stands out for its high quality in tunnel construction: Since the end of the 1960s, the company began to develop sealing frames for a new generation of tunnel construction. The requirements are high, the frames must sometimes withstand over 30 bar water pressure and have a durability of at least 100 years. The requirements were met, and the seals have since been used in tunnel construction on all continents worldwide. About 600,000 frames are produced annually for an average of 20 different tunnel projects. Over the years, SEALABLE can look back on a reference of about 700 tunnel constructions worldwide in which the seals have been installed.

Industrial Applications, on the other hand, are mostly used wherever seals are required, for example in building construction (including windows and facades), civil engineering (including structural seals) or technical profiles (e.g. for connecting wind turbines in the North Sea and Baltic Sea). The company is headquartered in Waltershausen, just under 50 kilometers west of Erfurt.
